Pros

Great floor operations and grocery team in produce, meat, bakery, cafe, and front end at either store.

Cons

Administration is largely run with no oversight and are married forming conflicts of interest and the inability for employees to be truthful in their reviews or complaints without risk of retaliation. Departments are often held to different standards that higher administration is not. The General Manager is largely absent. The market champions itself as 'local' with few reaping those benefits except those at the top. This is apparent by other reviews left before mine.

Pros

A semi-decent work/life balance, a full roster of truly great employees, a chance to give back to your local community and make some good money doing it.

Cons

Putting the bottom line before realizing great potential in people. I was denied a promotion (for my current position?) on some very lofty, almost straw-man reasoning. I have been with this company for 7 years, in my current position for 4 years. This all feels like a big stab in the back. The "5-tier" system of employee segregation should be abolished. Employees are frequently asked to do tasks outside of their job descriptions on the grounds of "Other duties as needed" being written into every job description.
