Pros

Working with a wonderful team of individuals who are a joy to be around.

Cons

Where to begin. The cons in this case definitely outweigh the pros by a long shot. You will notice that a lot of the older review are highly positive and praise the company. A few months ago I would have completely agreed with them. Most of the staff in the LA office is brand new as of mid-2017, and most of us started with fresh eyes and an eager mindset. As time has worn on though, all the issues with this place have begun to really show through and it's honestly heartbreaking. Although everyone at the company is intelligent and knows what they are doing technologically speaking, management on all levels has almost no understanding of how to actually manage and run an effective and productive team of individuals. They provide documented procedures that are out of date and lack critical information yet reprimand us for not following through on changes that they inexplicably decide to pass down through word of mouth rather than updating the documented procedure. Additionally, they change our work hours on a whim and refuse to hire new employees leaving the busiest shifts single staffed, overburdening us with tons of noise and with the same bugs that have been here since I started. When hired I was told there would be great opportunities to learn and grow within the company as well as enjoy a wealth of wonderful benefits like profit sharing. It has been many months and still not a word on the profit sharing. Also, they like to sell this company as being much larger than it is. Truth be told its incredibly small and it shows. There is a clear lack of culture from the top down, with every level doing their own thing and no clear direction what so ever. You might think this would be a good place to start to get your foot in the door into cybersecurity, but aside from what you may learn from osmosis, the most management seems to want to teach us is how to push buttons and how to be a robot when dealing with clients. Expect no support or engagement from anyone above you and expect to be offered little to no explanations as to why we do what we do and what anything means. Generally speaking, there is not much room to grow either as the company clearly cares more about profit than its employees paying qualified individuals below the local average in Los Angeles. They also don't' care or don't understand the experience each individual brings to the team and fail to even attempt to make proper use of their employees. (I have personally seen companies much larger than this be able to take the time to play on each employees strengths and work to improve their weaknesses, so for a company this small it is almost inexcusable).

Pros

Great coworkers, involved leadership, and the company fosters an environment that is conducive to improving your tradecraft and learning constantly.

Cons

Low pay, difficult rotating shift, the two of those made the work life balance not worth staying. I would have stayed if the pay was better and I had to work a rotating shift, or if I had the base pay with no rotating shift, but not both.
