Unbelievable Company Culture - Account Executive The Digital Ring Employee Review

Pros

If you have a desire to learn and expand your knowledge base and experience in new areas of marketing--e.g. branding, UX/UI, AI the company is 1000% supportive of your learning goals. You can grow your knowledge base until your heart's content and gain exposure to things you would never get exposure to in a larger marketing firm.

Cons

TDR is a small company so while personal and professional growth opportunities are abundantly available and supported, organizational mobility will require patience.

Pros

It's not like most agencies where there's a rigid hierarchy. At every level, team members have the opportunity to share feedback and help shape the company's vision, direction, process, etc. If you demonstrate expertise and offer value, you'll be trusted with a lot of autonomy which means a flexible work schedule and room to carve your own career path. The people are amazing (good clients too) and no one takes themselves too seriously. The cliche "work hard, play hard" applies.

Cons

It's a small company, which means you've got to take the initiative if you want career growth. There's no corporate ladder to climb.

Pros

The people who work at TDR are truly what make it a great place. There's so much talent at the company and everyone is kind and helpful. I loved the team I was a part of and my manager was truly one of the best managers I've ever had. She always encouraged her team to provide her with feedback, and whenever we did she was very respective and receptive to what was being said, even if it wasn't the easiest thing to hear. She always made sure we were supported when we needed it and helped brainstorm solutions to problems. With her leadership we were able to overcome a lot of challenges!

Cons

TDR is a small company that is experiencing growing pains all while learning on the way. Given the smaller team sizes, you can expect to have your bandwidth stretched thin at times, thus decreasing your work/life balance. Career progression is also rather slow and unclear because employees aren't given a roadmap on how to progress in their role, unless they push for it, but even then it feels like the process is being developed on the fly. During my time at TDR there was a turnover and retention issue happening. For about 5 months straight I saw 1-2 people leave each month. When the people left, responsibilities and tasks were shuffled around and the leadership team struggled to hire people to fill the open positions. This caused severe burn out and low morale amongst employees. Burn out is real and almost unavoidable when working here. The compensation is below average, and the benefits are subpar.
