Pros

The manager and team was nice.

Cons

Impeccable Pig requires all employees to wear the garments during their 4 to 8 hour shifts and then puts them back on the rack to sell as “new”. Yet, they are telling customers that they can’t return an item that they have worn. This is so wrong to the customers who are unknowledgeable of this and to the employees who don’t have a choice. When I asked my manager if this policy was mandatory, she said that it definitely was. I counteracted with many questions: So we take the tag off, wear the clothing the entire shift, and then put the tag back on? Yes but if there is a deodorant stain or smell, we’ll dry clean it But you don’t do that for every garment? No, not every one How long has this policy existed? Since the beginning Does this bother you? It’s just the policy so I follow it Have any of your employees ever been uncomfortable doing this? Most are excited to wear the clothing and no one has ever expressed concern Are customers aware that this is happening? Some of our regulars have figured it out and think it’s cool but most are unaware Have you told any of your friends that you do this at work? Not very many Do you think that most customers would want to buy the clothing that has been worn multiple times if they became aware? I don’t know… Do you think that this is ok when the return policy states that you can’t return unworn items and yet a garment could potentially been worn 3 or more times by employees before it is actually sold to a customer? I don’t know… I then asked the manager for the regional director’s number and asked her the same questions and was given a lot of the same answers. She defended the policy to the end. Does this policy not bother you? Many boutiques have this policy, and it is just a way to advertise the products. I have purchased many clothes that I know have been worn by employees. You don’t think this is unhygienic…deodorant stains, body odor and the potential of rashes and lice spreading on these garments? The clothing is dry cleaned But not every time? We hire employees with good hygiene… Do you think if this got out in press that it would be good for your company? No, I think it would hurt small boutiques like us Do you think a customer would want to buy pre-worn clothing when it is suppose to be brand new? She said every consumer takes a risk…people going to a restaurant and possibly getting their food coughed on…etc. Has anyone else ever expressed their concerns with this policy? In the 3 years of me being with this company, you are the first
