Pros

I enjoyed working there and becoming familiar with the different styles that made up their brand. I loved both my manager and assistant manager and we keep in contact to this day!

Cons

I started as a sales lead in Charlotte, NC. I only worked there a few months before both the manager and assistant manager received jobs elsewhere. I worked part-time since I was a student and had a tremendous load of work laid on me. Upper management never sent in a replacement for them. This caused me to work more hours and my grades began to drop in school as a result. For the last month they were in business, they hired another sales lead (at this point I still had not been notified that the business was closing). We worked for a couple of weeks before they decided to let us know that the store would be closing. We only had about 4 weeks notice and it was during the holidays--which made it EXTREMELY HARD to find a job as other businesses had already hired their holiday staff. When the new sales lead was hired they did not even tell her about the store closing. We were completely left in the dark. As compensation, we were told that management was going to send us starbucks gift cards which we never received. They had cameras where they would sit and watch us work and if we slouched, sat for a brief moment or did anything else they didn't like, they would call the store and correct it. We were not allowed to wear our own clothes, unless it was bought from their store. When we arrived at work we would pick out a outfit from the store, change into it, cut the tags off and wear it all day. When the shift was over we would reattach the tags and hang it back on the rack for a customer to buy. This to me was very repulsive as some days (especially in the summer) it would be hot and we would sweat. But we had to hang it back out on the rack because we were only allowed to spend $25 a week at dry cleaning, which was usually needed for reattaching straps to dresses and fixing items that were broken.

Pros

Great community outreach Unique boutique styles

Cons

This company is dying, the management is squeezing everything they can. If you don’t fit their ideal workhorse you’re cut. The working environment was very unprofessional, almost like the film “mean girls”. They do not train every employee the same, so there is a lot of confusion when it comes to policy. They do not hesitate to give anyone the axe, like I said they’re dying and act like they don’t care about employees. They sell clothing the employees have worn for shifts without letting customers know. They expect you to arrive early, not clock in, change into their clothes and stay late to re tag it. All without being paid. The employee discount is almost laughable.

Pros

The manager and team was nice.

Cons

Impeccable Pig requires all employees to wear the garments during their 4 to 8 hour shifts and then puts them back on the rack to sell as “new”. Yet, they are telling customers that they can’t return an item that they have worn. This is so wrong to the customers who are unknowledgeable of this and to the employees who don’t have a choice. When I asked my manager if this policy was mandatory, she said that it definitely was. I counteracted with many questions: So we take the tag off, wear the clothing the entire shift, and then put the tag back on? Yes but if there is a deodorant stain or smell, we’ll dry clean it But you don’t do that for every garment? No, not every one How long has this policy existed? Since the beginning Does this bother you? It’s just the policy so I follow it Have any of your employees ever been uncomfortable doing this? Most are excited to wear the clothing and no one has ever expressed concern Are customers aware that this is happening? Some of our regulars have figured it out and think it’s cool but most are unaware Have you told any of your friends that you do this at work? Not very many Do you think that most customers would want to buy the clothing that has been worn multiple times if they became aware? I don’t know… Do you think that this is ok when the return policy states that you can’t return unworn items and yet a garment could potentially been worn 3 or more times by employees before it is actually sold to a customer? I don’t know… I then asked the manager for the regional director’s number and asked her the same questions and was given a lot of the same answers. She defended the policy to the end. Does this policy not bother you? Many boutiques have this policy, and it is just a way to advertise the products. I have purchased many clothes that I know have been worn by employees. You don’t think this is unhygienic…deodorant stains, body odor and the potential of rashes and lice spreading on these garments? The clothing is dry cleaned But not every time? We hire employees with good hygiene… Do you think if this got out in press that it would be good for your company? No, I think it would hurt small boutiques like us Do you think a customer would want to buy pre-worn clothing when it is suppose to be brand new? She said every consumer takes a risk…people going to a restaurant and possibly getting their food coughed on…etc. Has anyone else ever expressed their concerns with this policy? In the 3 years of me being with this company, you are the first
