Pros

The dogs. Regular clients are very sweet, easy to build strong client relationships.

Cons

horribly toxic work environment, shady owners. Owners/management will not be help if you are experiencing an issue or getting harassed (particularly by other employees). Very clique-ish work environment. Owners will insult employees to other employees blatantly, and the main owner is prone to meltdowns and erratic behavior (especially over bad yelp reviews). Additionally, they engage in shady practices like having employees write positive reviews for the company on yelp (yelp rules prohibit that). The area is also dangerous.

Pros

Spending time with the pups and my coworkers. Great customers and easy boss to work with, they were always very open to our input and opinions.

Cons

None really, I had a great experience

Pros

The dogs are normally pretty easy to take care of. Not many disagreements Phone rules are pretty loose Paid 30 minute lunches You can bring your dog(s) to daycare on your shifts

Cons

The protocols are constantly changing There is a huge disconnect between expectations and what is achievable Not all the employees are on the same page about the quality of work they are putting out No one calls out the owner when she is trying to implement something that doesn't work Much more responsibility than the typical kennel tech role anywhere else including, Cleaning up after the dogs, feeding the dogs, sending updates to the parents, responding to emails, answering phone calls, cleaning the other park, cleaning the lobby, cleaning the kitchen, cleaning the whole grooming side, occassionally bathing dogs, occasionally staying late or coming in early, picking up and dropping off dogs for daycare/grooming Managment is almost impossible to reach outside of their* working hours There is not a shift lead on every shift Usually understaffed, you can be one kennel tech to up to 20 dogs. You're supposed to have atleast 2 there but that doesn't mean that both of you will be in the park together.
