- The job: essentially mis-sold. In the interview process there is a focus on value chain analysis and one of the skill sets they hire for is logical/analytical. You will not be using these skills AT ALL. Instead a LinkedIn sweep and cold emails/cold calls. I have heard people been told that they are “too analytical” or that being analytical has held them back.
- Management/incentives: management is disconnected from the workforce. Example: the new incentive structure - you are not recognised by the money you bring into the firm but the amount of consultations you book. These are similar but not the same, management has no response to this atm.
Office: Zetland House (connections) is like a prison. Work constantly going on overhead, there no running water for a period of time and the lack of natural light is upsetting.
No progression after you’re promoted unless you want to be a team leader.
