Pros

Thismoment is an amazing group of people. Everyone at the company is smart, motivated, and ready to give their all. The engineering team is very talented, and the CTO is one of the funniest, smartest, and most direct people I've ever had the pleasure of working with. The tech stack is very interesting, incorporating new concepts, tools, and services.

Cons

TM isn't the place to look for some of the more luxurious perks of other Bay Area and Silicon Valley companies. Don't expect an in-house chef or a gym. The company is lean and mean, which has upsides and downsides.

Pros

Getting to work with talented and hard working people is probably the biggest perk this company has to offer. This is very unique in a start-up world which is filled with 20-somethings trying to figure it out. The management team is experienced in building a business and this level of maturity shows throughout daily operations. That's not to say that they are boring. There is plenty of fun to be had here, but when it comes to leadership and learning opportunities there are plenty. The CEO has an inspiring vision for content management systems. He is leading the company to transform itself into a platform business and a successful execution would guarantee great returns for both employees and investors. I feel that this is a very exciting time to be here with lots of opportunities to have a positive impact. Location - you cannot beat the downtown location and a beautiful office space. PTO - 4 weeks of PTO plus winter shut-down week are my favorite perks at Thismoment. You may work at a company that does unlimited vacation days, but I bet you wouldn't take 5 weeks off in a given year.

Cons

Uncertainty. This is a start-up and can be a choppy ride. No different from other young companies in the Bay Area, but the risk is still there. Things are not presented to you fully baked, so you need to figure it out on your own and ability to deal with ambiguity is a #1 requirement to work here.
