Pros

- Amazing people all around - Lot of experiments done on different technology stacks : You're given opportunities to try new things, and need not be stuck on to a specific technology or project - Transparency - Decisions are communicated transparently and opinions are very much solicited. - I've been part of 3 annual reviews - and each one has been more transparent than the previous one. It is entirely driven by the employee, and based on feedback that he/she gets from his/her colleagues. - There is very little politics, bureaucracy or red-tapism. In fact, a senior manager who joined as a lateral found it so difficult in such an open environment, that he had no other option than to quit! - Good work-life balance - Many technical and fun events are organized periodically. There is a sense of togetherness among Thoughtworkers. - Strong emphasis on social responsibility. Several projects are done for NGOs and hospitals for a subsidised cost. - Leadership team (CEO, Chairman, CTO etc.) have a very good acceptance. - Free food and well-stocked pantry :-) - Good pay - Tries to maintain a good mix of people, and has taken several initiatives to recruit/promote women and even from African countries. - Focus on regional markets is a good first step towards sustaining revenues.

Cons

- There seems to be an inherent, all-pervading bias towards employees having more experience within Thoughtworks. Outside experience gets scant regard. - Business direction and foresight are sufficiently lacking. Profits are fluctuating.

Pros

I've had a great experience building my career at Thoughtworks. One of the things that stands out most is the culture. It's collaborative, supportive, and filled with people who genuinely want to help each other succeed. Thoughtworks has also provided me with meaningful opportunities for career growth. I've been encouraged to take on new challenges, develop new skills, and explore different career paths. Leaders have been approachable and supportive, and I've always felt empowered to own my development rather than being confined to a single role. Like any organization, we’ve had our ups and downs. But the people and the commitment to continuous learning have remained consistent strengths. If you're looking for a place where you can grow professionally, work with smart and passionate people, and be part of a culture that values collaboration and innovation, Thoughtworks is a great place to build your career.

Cons

None that I can think of right now.

Pros

Great culture, very laid back and as long as you show up and get your work done you are meeting expectations

Cons

Very difficult to get any salary increases or promotions. Lived in fear of layoffs bc there were often not a lot of projects so I was often on the bench for months at a time
