Pros

All your thoughts creativity and ideas are taken and handed to your managers and then your manager takes credit for this. You train your manager to take your credit.

Cons

The company is partially owned by an investor and because of this, they don't give raises no matter how much you contribute or upsell it's not going to get you a raise they will happily replace you. Matt Bowman is a hermit who dodges any interaction with employees Matt Bowman routinely says you cannot have a quarterback who is the wide receiver yet forces all his employees to be in non-stop meetings all day and wonders why fulfillment takes a back seat. Matt Bowman last year decided to terminate yearly bonuses which you get from upselling clients (and did not tell his employees) literally was something you would see in Game of Thrones every employee was talking about how they're done and starting their own agency even upper management. They have many false statements in their onboarding documentation. Like you will get a macbook

Thrive values feedback from both our alumni and current employees. We work in a fast-paced agency environment that values creativity and hard work from our employees while providing a strong work-life balance. Each employee is provided autonomy and is responsible for their work effort and results for all of our clients. Working at Thrive you will find that Matt Bowman is open to meet with each employee to discuss any concerns that the employee may have. Matt truly cares about his employees and understands the financial impact that he has on his employee’s families. Matt has paid out performance bonuses every year when the company has met its financial goals. Thrive paid out a performance bonus for 2018. Thrive does have a minority investor who provides strategic guidance to the company. The minority investor is not involved with the day-to-day activities nor has any input into employee compensation. This role requires the Specialist/Strategist to own the relationship with their client. This involves strategy and implementation by the employee. Our core values focus on relationships and results. This requires that our employees own the relationship with the client. Owning the relationship includes meeting with the clients regularly to discuss strategy and report on results. We want to be transparent with the work we are performing for all of our clients. Time management is a required skill for this position. All new employees that start with Thrive receives a $500 technology stipend to be used towards a new computer of their choice or home office equipment. We have a saying, “Better Never Stops”. We value feedback to help Thrive to continuously improve.

Pros

I've really enjoyed my experience working here. The team is supportive, leadership is approachable, and there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. The collaborative and supportive culture makes it a great place to work, and they are quick to recognize accomplishments small and big.

Cons

This company is made up of 95% remote workers in several different time zones. While that does have it's advantages it also creates natural barriers in communication and sets back working relationships

Pros

The biggest strength at Thrive is the people behind the scenes making the magic happen. This is one of the few agencies I’ve worked at where teams genuinely step up for each other. When one department is slammed or understaffed, another department doesn’t point fingers, they pick up the slack. That kind of support is real, and you feel it. This past year especially made that clear. During periods of change and simplification, teams rallied instead of retreating. People leaned in, communicated more, and stayed focused on the bigger picture rather than just their individual lanes. There’s a shared belief that there’s something special about this brand and the people here, and that belief shows up when it matters. Leadership is accessible and human. There’s transparency, collaboration, and a genuine effort to improve processes instead of pretending everything is perfect. Wins are celebrated, challenges are talked through, and no one acts like they have all the answers. Also worth noting, work-life balance is respected. You’re trusted to do your job without being micromanaged, which makes a huge difference in morale and longevity. Thrive is a place where people care about the work, the clients, and each other. If you want to be part of a team that actually shows up when things get hard and doesn’t lose sight of what makes the company special, this is a great place to be.

Cons

Because the company is growing and evolving, change is constant. If you need everything to stay exactly the same forever, this might feel uncomfortable. If you’re adaptable, it’s actually a plus.

Thank you for taking the time to share this. Feedback like this means a great deal to us, especially coming from someone who has been part of Thrive for so many years. What you described about teams stepping up for one another is exactly the culture we work hard to protect. Especially over the past year, it has been encouraging to see people lean in, communicate well, and stay focused on the bigger picture. We also appreciate your comments about accessible leadership, transparency, and trust. We believe honest conversations, celebrating wins, and respecting work-life balance are essential to long-term success. Thank you for your commitment to Thrive and for being part of what makes this place special.
