Pros

-It's employment -Employee cafe food is decent and price isn't bad

Cons

-Pay is horrendously low with zero room for negotiation despite experience -Service Desk "leadership" is a joke -Service Desk manager does not know how to perform basic job duties of subordinates to better assist during high volume call periods/outages. -Designated recruiter for IT has zero technical knowledge and cannot answer basic yes or no questions -Job duties are not accurately presented to applicants; duties are stated to be that of another role in a different department and not a glorified call center which is is -High turnover not being discussed or properly remediated -Expensive health benefits (even coming from a hospital) -7 cent raise lol -Gatekeeping roles due to organization 6 month in role policy -Gatekeeping roles past 6 month in role policy for 12 month minimum as a department policy -No room for growth -Payscales between Service Desk roles are laughable (they're the exact same despite different responsibilities) -Job training is laughable and not thought out properly -More responsibility gets tacked on but the compensation stayed the same -Service Desk is a call center and has little IT experience to offer. -Little to know room for growth to other departments due to interdepartmental politics
