Pros

Working at Tixr (London office) can have a bit of a start-up feel, which I’ve really enjoyed. The London team is small, close-knit, and collaborative, but you also get some of the backing of the larger US-based company. This provides good opportunity to progress and grow. The team culture is genuinely strong. Everyone is willing to jump in and help, and there’s a shared sense of ownership. The pace is fast, which keeps things exciting and gives you exposure to a lot of different challenges and clients. If you’re someone who likes to take initiative and “dig in,” you’ll thrive here. Onboarding support is solid, there’s a real effort to help new starters succeed and feel integrated into the team.

Cons

Because it’s fast-paced and events-driven, things can feel chaotic at times. You need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities and balancing client demands when everyone else is busy with other things. The workload can feel like a lot at times, especially while you’re still learning the ropes. That said, some of this comes with the territory of the events industry, and if you’re adaptable and proactive, it’s manageable.

Pros

Employees have a lot of flexibility and direct ownership of their tasks. Many layers of organizational complexity have been removed, allowing motivated engineers to get a lot pushed through. By the same token, this requires employees to be pretty self-motivated; you can't rely on structure to force you to be productive.

Cons

A fairly flat management structure leaves fewer opportunities for direct job-title advancement. I haven't been here long enough to see if this holds for vertical leveling as well. Being almost entirely remote, the wider organization can seem a bit disconnected, though individual teams are pretty tight knit.
