Four "restructures" in just over a year, seven in the past 3 years, hundreds of people let go. For a company that has ranged from only 400 - 800 employees in total, that is a lot of upheaval.
Management, where does one start? The incompetency of the CEO (nice man, but knows he is at the end of the line, says so publicly), CFO (into the weeds on the micro finances, such as cutting out Wednesday fika, but out of her depth on the macro, more strategic side and is rarely heard from, a terrible public speaker, not good with people, only xls), EVP Sales & Marketing (who has just been fired, finally. Her presentations were legendary, complete nonsensical word salads), VP Products and Solutions (should have been let go years ago), VP People & Growth (a real piece of work) and the list goes on, is astonishing. Their mismanagement has been breathtaking, bordering on negligent. These people should never be involved in senior management positions again.
The Board should also be held responsible for this complete failure of a once promising company. Its lack of rigour and independence, together with its sycophantic behaviour towards the founders and C-Suite has cost Tobii an awful lot.
