Pros

Over the years, there have been some great people to work with and the culture, until around 2021, was a very positive and collaborative one.

Cons

Four "restructures" in just over a year, seven in the past 3 years, hundreds of people let go. For a company that has ranged from only 400 - 800 employees in total, that is a lot of upheaval. Management, where does one start? The incompetency of the CEO (nice man, but knows he is at the end of the line, says so publicly), CFO (into the weeds on the micro finances, such as cutting out Wednesday fika, but out of her depth on the macro, more strategic side and is rarely heard from, a terrible public speaker, not good with people, only xls), EVP Sales & Marketing (who has just been fired, finally. Her presentations were legendary, complete nonsensical word salads), VP Products and Solutions (should have been let go years ago), VP People & Growth (a real piece of work) and the list goes on, is astonishing. Their mismanagement has been breathtaking, bordering on negligent. These people should never be involved in senior management positions again. The Board should also be held responsible for this complete failure of a once promising company. Its lack of rigour and independence, together with its sycophantic behaviour towards the founders and C-Suite has cost Tobii an awful lot.

Pros

-Great team and have had many wonderful colleagues and managers -Good work/life balance and lots of flexibility with the hybrid work policy. -There has been lots of room to grow, learn and develop in the past which has been very valuable. -The culture was great when I started - unfortunately it is non-existent now -Decent salaries

Cons

The company is not the same one as it once was.. In recent years there has been a lack of competency throughout higher management, which is alarming and concerning. Too much corporate fluff and fancy words in presentations, but no real output. The organization has for a long time been too heavy on the management side, with many "higher management" roles that have unquantifiable and intangible output, serving zero purpose towards the organization. Luckily, these are starting to be weeded out (perhaps too late) Countless poor decisions which have driven the organization into a downward spiral and a state of disorientation. There have been too many initiatives, projects, organizational changes driven by questionable motives. The disorientation within the organization means there are constantly new projects and initiatives (often focusing on non-profit maximizing areas ), which are not thoroughly thought through, lack long-term vision and are often abandoned midway.

Pros

Great products, employees care about who they help and what they do for the customers

Cons

You are not cared about as an employee from the higher ups. It starts from the top, and the top couldn't care less. You are literally a number. Lots of negativity and office politics, back stabbing, etc, not a lot of advancement opportunity. A lot of turnover and unhappy managers, which translates into unhappy employees.
