Pros

- Fully paid for health insurance - Benefits start quick - Flexible start time - The people are nice - They have a past history of quickly promoting high performers

Cons

- Management does not follow through on half of what they say - Communication in the company is a mess; a ton of emails about items relevant to only one department, team, or person are sent to everyone for no reason at all, direct communication of issues is a rarity, confusion and misunderstandings are common, there is no clear direction, meetings are always cancelled or moved a bunch last minute, and the meetings that do happen are always a waste of time - Training is sub par - Absolute wet blanket office culture

Pros

- there is a company-wide culture of support - on both sides, research and risk management. I always got the sense that if I didn't know/couldn't do something I can ask for help, from both peers and superiors. - the company provides a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of the private equity industry. The research process involves a deep dive into leading investment firms in the US and internationally. - wide ranging and always changing work flow. The company is constantly evolving and often is engaged in unique projects for clients that provide great learning opportunities for anyone involved in them. - good work ethic/product is well recognized, partly due to the size of the teams.

Cons

- management is extremely client-centered. That often creates tight deadlines and "fire drills". - the still relatively small size of the company limits the growth opportunities within the company for more junior folks.
