Pros

My co workers are the only thing that kept me at TQL for so long. Oh, and there is a business casual dress code at the satellite offices, which is nice.

Cons

I could write 10 pages of negative things about TQL, but I will try to list the most important ones. They do not value good employees. Management tells you exactly what you want to hear in your "one-on-ones", and then completely (for lack of a better word) screws you over any way they can. They micromanage to the point where it feels like you are being babysat (i.e. running weekly reports of all the websites you visit and giving you 60 minutes of "quota time" a day for internet usage, and they constantly email you for updates on everything you're doing) and in some departments, you even get punished (via a point system) for using sick time that you have earned. The last thing I want to mention is how unprofessional the brokers are. It is disgusting to hear the way some of the brokers speak to the carriers, yelling and cursing at them and treating them like children, when they are helping to keep TQL in business. They aren't much more polite to the support staff either.

Pros

Amazing work hard-play hard culture, plenty of opportunities for advancement, and really friendly coworkers. The job isn’t for everyone, but for those wanting to dig in, there’s so much opportunity for success here.

Cons

Not many holidays due to the nature of the industry

Pros

Frat House environment if that's what you're into.

Cons

Where do I even start.... My first week there the sales manager, whose account I was supposed to look over and be trained by, was gone for the whole week. The desk spot they put me at was next to this JBL party box, making it virtually impossible to communicate over the phone. When you're in the training phase you literally do all the work for the account manager, then you're expected to make cold calls to people that want no part in TQL. When you do get someone on the phone and make a sale, you wont be seeing any of that money. They have a commission draw set up where you have to be making a certain amount of revenue before you can make commission- thus leaving you to the measly 43k salary. These recruiters and managers SELL you a false dream, the turnover rate there is astronomical for a reason. They will hire anyone that'll learn the system, use them for labor for 6 months, cut them when they don't meet the ridiculous KPI metrics. To be actually successful here you either have to work near 60+ hours a week for YEARS waking at 4am to "snipe" accounts that have been released due to inactivity, or be handed an account by a retiring SR level manager. RUN from this company!
