Pros

None whatsoever. Can't think of a worse company to have experienced

Cons

The job I applied for wasn't the job I ended up doing. When applying, the description mentioned working in events, managing a team and budget management. So you can imagine my shock when I showed up for my induction to basically be told I was going to be a self-employed door-to-door salesman. There is no clear base salary, everything is commission based and you have to pay for your own expenses. The interview process is messy and the communication is awful. After getting offered the role, I didn't hear anything from them until I chased them up on the week I started. This was a red flag as they hadn't sent a contract or anything, but I was more worried that they hadn't given me a start date (considering they asked if I could leave my previous job early to start at TouchPoint). I had sent them numerous emails, rang different phone numbers and left voicemails - only to be told that they didn't receive anything because they had problems with their emails (didn't explain why they couldn't return my calls though). Considering they wanted me to finish my previous job early, I didn't actually have my induction for another three weeks, meaning that I had no income during that time. Everything you see about this company on its website or LinkedIn is false and hugely inaccurate. They promote it as this fun, young working environment when actually all you are is a door-to-door salesman who has to travel all over Manchester (and sometimes out of it). Within a day of working there, I was already applying for new jobs and I would've left a review sooner, but their Glassdoor page was impossible to find (they changed their company name which is another red flag). So for anyone who has managed to find it and this review and is thinking of applying, don't!

Pros

No pros unless you want door to door service.

Cons

I agree with a past comment saying they could write a book on reasons why not to work here. Completely false advertisement. Not once was there every a mention the whole job would be solely door-to-door service. They make you make your own way to a random road in Manchester or even further, and you have to make your own way back. One time they dropped me in Blackburn with no return when I specifcally applied for a job only in Manchester. You have to knock on about 300 doors in a row and do that again three more times. You get no offical break and if you want to eat something they often encouarge you to eat on the pavement. The payment is also awful. They talk all the time about promotions and stuff, but it's just wishy-washy rubbish. You have a minimal wage, and you can only achieve a small amount of compensation after reaching 5 sales per week. If you dont hit this target, they are able to fire you. If you take a day off or you are ill they completely change your salary and make you also work on a Saturday, which I did not sign up for.

Pros

none do not apply here.

Cons

I worked for this company for three weeks. When I say worked I mean they stringed me along for “training” which overall consisted in me commuting to the office on several occasions only to be sent home two hours later without pay. Everything about this company is confusing to the random meet up locations in public area’s to their box shaped office which they claim is in Deansgate for no reason ? (it literally isn’t) The communication in general is awful, if you have an issue finding your own solution is expected apparently. I tried on multiple occasions to get in contact with HR, my mentor and the manager of the company. I was ignored for 6 days, and then blamed for not understanding what was going on. Nobody in this company communicates. Everyone is clearly working different jobs, as I was given several different schedules from several different mentors all for the same day. It’s stressful and unpredictable. I was sent home for a full week and then fired for going home? to put this into prespective ive never been fired before, ive never even been critiqued in my previous jobs, I really did try to make this work but its hard to when I didn't even get the opportunity to work. It’s a scam overall. They string people along and fire them at will, they are constantly hiring and ready to replace. honestly I could write a 7 page novella series about how hilariously awful this company is, but ive already wasted too much time attending training sessions at that place for NOTHING. If this doesn't put you off of applying just wait until they send you the contract..
