Great employees horrible owners - Assistant Manager Town Management Employee Review

Pros

Very lax, Flexible time No enforcement of dress code

Cons

Takes too long to get decent time off, I.e 4 years for 2 week’s vacation. If you live on property you are subjected to rent increases. Raises are less than 2%. Corporate doesn’t have the decency to learn your name or how it’s properly spelled. Corporate makes up their own rules and doesn’t enforce fair housing classes.

Pros

This company does care about their employees… if you actually work and do your job! I worked for the company multiple years and loved them! I would go back in a heartbeat! I left because there was no where I could move up to. The company is very open to promoting within (again if you are good at your job and the position comes available). Even after leaving the company upper management still checks on me and my family! They became like family while working there! The pay is GREAT pay for the industry! They pay hirer than normal companies in the industry. Offers full benefits with the option for them to pay for your medical insurance. They own their properties and you never have to worry about the management company changing or being bought out. Overall, the company is truly a good company to work for.

Cons

No direct deposit Punch clock clock in Dental and Vision is offered but a little expensive

Pros

Low expectations for entry level employees

Cons

Unequal pay across the company for the same positions. No employee retention effort or career advancement plan. Outdated systems. Will hire people they have fired rather than attract the right candidate. Too many cooks at the corporate level. No direct deposit. (pay can be delayed by multiple days because of this) Employees that have been with the company for a long time are given special privileges that are not offered or even discussed with new hires. Upper management is rude to property managers when things aren't going well. Subpar and expensive health coverage. (had to hold dental insurance for two years before I could use it for anything past cleanings)
