Pros
The company has a real solution that solves a real pain for our market segment. Like all early stage companies we had to fid Product Market Fit and this always takes "too long", now we just need to execute - super fun time to be part of this team. I also like the social impact this could have as we make it easier for SMBs to get loans, and who doesn't want their local corner bakery to have a line of credit to grow.
Cons
Teams are split between two locations (Sydney & London) which creates culture challenges and a delay in decision making. Seem like leadership is try to address this issue but everyone has to help, not just management. We are also selling to Big Banks which aren't always first movers, so sales cycles take longer than we want, which means have a strong roadmap and delivering on our commitments is required to instill trust with prospects and customers.
