Pros
You can fly a lot without having to do that much ground with your students. You can work as much as you want
Cons
CFI's are pressured to fly even if they do not feel it is safe to do so. New owners are changing things around, so far I have spoken to many and agree they are not happy with the changes. A lot of people were let go so the extra work was distributed among all other this across the board. This as a CFI is no good as you will have 6 or more students assigned to you not being able to focus and provide quality instructing as you have a hard time keeping track of all and also because your students will fly randomly and frequently with other cfi's (who do not care about your students). Compensation is below industry standards. 50 Hour work weeks come out to about $10 per hour for a proffessional pilot flying with Chinese students who speak very little english.
