Pros

They care about pets. There are some really wonderful, smart, creative people.

Cons

Very have/have not culture with extremely out of touch and inexperienced leadership. I know a lot of people say that a pro to working here is all the dogs in the office but let's be honest a lot of places now have pets in the workplace and those maybe are places where you can be paid a fair wage and treated with respect for your input. This place has a lot of work to do to have a truly appealing and inclusive culture. There's a lot of talk about being fair and being transparent and being equal. But sadly those are just words.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback – heartfelt input, like this, helps us continue to evolve and grow as a company. I am glad to hear that Trupanion’s mission and overall pet passion were “pros” on your list, as those are things we are really proud of as a company. That being said, it sounds like your experience working at Trupanion was hard, especially when you didn’t feel trusted. If you’re open to it, I’d welcome the chance to talk with you more about your experience and hear your ideas on how we do a better job supporting team members. Feel free to email me directly at bryn.lansdowne@trupanion.com.

Pros

Very good benefits, especially PTO / Great coworkers with shared "values" (outside of upper mgmt) / Remote Help pets every day

Cons

The co has become another typical corporate greed - no longer cares about customer or staff experience, only the bottom line. Charges premium prices for not so premium insurance, with progressive cut backs in coverage yet continuous policy increases in much too large of percentage (as an employee, I could never afford my own plan). They used to be fantastic, progressive and all-inclusive. Now they keep hide their true behaviors behind a cloak of "transparency" and have lost sight of their own values.
