Pros
I recently celebrated two decades with the company, and management marked the occasion by gathering the entire office team to present me with an engraved plaque and an incredible luxury hamper. You don’t dedicate that much of your life to a company without good reason. Over the years, they’ve gone above and beyond in supporting me through serious health challenges. When I transitioned from an engineering role to an office-based position, the company handled it without issue — even allowing me to keep my company car for two additional years. I’m not here to judge anyone’s negative experiences, but nearly 40 years of working life give me insight that some younger, former employees may gain in time — along with an appreciation of how good this company is. For the support technicians, I hope they come to understand that this work isn’t easy. Navigating the IT demands of the NHS requires absorbing a vast amount of ever-evolving information. It’s a valuable experience for anyone. If I had to choose one thing I’m most proud of, it’s that this company’s story was built — and continues to be shaped — by remarkable, talented people from across the globe.
Cons
There is nothing negative for me.
