Pros

I joined UBDS due to the autonomy, flexibility and passion they had to continuing to build diverse, inclusive and exciting work force - something that I am delighted has been the continuing message and outlook throughout my time here. In my role I hold a large degree of autonomy and flexibility in how I work and when I work, something that was a big factor in me joining the business in August 2021. I really enjoy the range and diversity of people I talk, in terms of area and level of expertise but also from a cultural perspective also

Cons

For me, I see no downsides, yes we move at an incredible pace when it comes to creating & standing up teams, hiring new talent and often that means our needs may change almost overnight - but that is consultancy! Likewise sometimes we take a moment to make a decision, but as a growing company we have to try and make sure we get the right people and the right time and ensure we aren't rushing into, that could damage our business, reputation but also it might not be the right decision for the candidate.

Thank you for your insight - the consulting world is fast moving but also offers the opportunity for massive career growth and increase of an individual's skills knowledge. I agree wholeheartedly with hiring right the first time - for the business and the individuals sake. As a people focused organisation we need to take time to plan our recruitment and not rush it!

Pros

Well organised onboarding Friendly team Great values So far so good

Cons

Not a direct reflection on UBDS but when asigned to an assignment which is very busy it can be difficult to balance the training and onboarding requirements from both sides to be completed in the first week so to ease the new person into the organisation and role.
