-Benefits -Steady paycheck -Port visits can be fun -Still great connections if you socialize with the right people
Cons
-Inflexible. Don't expect any. The government owns you now -Time away a lot when on sea duty. Usually last minute. May even get sent to a ship that's homeport shifting and you won't find out until you get there. -"Firing" isn't a thing, so you WILL be stuck with some people who are unfathomably incompetent for a minute.
