Pros

Some people are genuinely nice and capable to do their jobs. People are truly passionate about the sport. Some of the work is cool: working in TV and sporting events depending on the area you get into.

Cons

Extremely toxic environment and the culture is fear based. The way people act stems from the Executive Director (currrent is Chad Murphy) and trickles down to the leaders that are afraid of him and are unqualified to be in their positions. Additionally, they make current employees feel like they can't leave and continuously put people down and bully them. Very negative morale and people bond by talking about how much they hate people in leadership and how much they hate their job. The work can be very micromanaged and although you will be told you have a lot of free reign, you really are forced to go along with the Exec Directors ideas and disagreeing with him is frowned upon.

Pros

I can’t really think of any. It was a consistent paycheck, if anything.

Cons

- Old school mentality with no flexibility. - Perks and benefits are inconsistently distributed, often favoring certain individuals. - If you’re not part of the “inner circle”, you’re treated poorly. - Leadership is toxic, often speaking badly about employees behind their backs. - Expectations are unrealistically high, with poor treatment, communication, support and compensation. - Leadership makes promises they never intend to keep. - Micromanaging is excessive and stifling. - Absolutely ZERO growth opportunities. You’ll be stuck where you’re at forever.
