Pros

Really can't think of any.

Cons

Employees at UST are simply a number, they don't care about you at all. From the very beginning you'll know you are a number because your email address will be a letter and your employee ID number, rather than your name. It is very much a foreign run company where you are easily replaced with the next person. Or your jobs are just sent offshore after a merger occurs. The company is big brother and has people monitoring online communities for anything negative from employees, and will fire them without hesitation. The HR Department is horrible, they don't respond to questions in a timely manner, and give you the run around. If you ask HR a question it is an inconvenience. Benefits aren't anything special, and vacation time is minimal. They did finally start to offer a 401k match in 2019 (although limited). All the HR systems they use are the most user unfriendly applications, and some of them appear to be homegrown apps too that give errors regularly. Now, they are even selling employee data to outside firms so that they can send junk mail to your home.

Dear USsociate, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate that you have taken the time to write about your experience and feelings instead of letting it to go unspoken. We at UST value the feedback from every USsociate as that gives us an opportunity to take corrective action around policies and processes. We understand your frustration and we assure you this is not a usual occurrence in UST. We are a high employee touch point organization, we value our people and truly believe that we are a successful Organization because of our people. Being a digital services organization, we encourage employees to be active on social media and we reinforce the social media policy of UST through regular communication. As any Organization would do, we also ensure that we take necessary action in case of breach of policy. We take utmost care in protecting personnel information and we do not sell employee data. Our employees do receive mails from UST’s benefits providers with whom our employees sign up for benefits. This is a standard practice. We would like to speak with you further to understand the concerns, clarify your question and help remedy the situation where needed. Would you be open to sending an email to HR@ust-global.com for us to connect and talk about specifics? Best Regards Human Resources

Pros

The company is already shifting from services to products and platforms business, with the CEO driving the change directly. This transition is visible and is steep. The upside to this transformation is the company already creating meaningful opportunities for people to grow new skills and take on more strategic and value-added work. The key is to lean in and make full use of the resources available, including client universities, hack-a-thons, ideathons, and skill transformation programs, to stay ahead. For internal talent, the opportunities in product, platform development, and consulting are abundant, across both existing offerings and new solutions.

Cons

the organization is going through a painful transition unlike anything it has experienced in its 26-year history; while this change is necessary to win in the market, stronger support through the transition is an area where the company can improve and focus.
