Pros
I have been with United Air Lines 16 years and I have never seen our airline grow so fast with an upward trajectory. We are welcoming new aircrafts to our fleet and announcing new routes to Middle Eastern, European and Latin American countries in such short time post pandemic. From 1 to 10 I would rate our CEO an 8. At United Airlines we foster a unified, working together culture. There are many changes that are going into effect at this time. Our management is focusing heavily on uniform appearance standards, how we show up, and how we present our image and United brand to the flying public. There is a huge focus on customer satisfaction scores that focus on our image and the level of professional service we deliver. Above all, safety is number one at United. Every employee plays an important individual role at United Airlines. Strict policies and policies are outlined to ensure employee accountability. I would say this is an exciting time to be part of United Airlines. We are connecting people and uniting the world.
Cons
As expected, you will be on reserve for quite some time. You must be flexible and adaptable and be ready to be called out within 4 hours of your flight assignment. More often crew scheduling will call you out in the middle of the nights for early morning departures with long duty days, all while maintaining your professional uniform appearance standards. They are really focusing on a hair up and tied back immaculate uniform appearance standards. If you have a hard time with being on time, dependable, customer oriented, following policies and procedures, being professional in front of customers, and complying with uniform guidelines you should not apply.
