The company is highly political and many people in management were ignorant of current and sound business practices. The I.S. department lived in the stone ages. There was no work life balance and it was expected that you would cancel vacations. There were blackout months where vacations were not allowed. People were not encouraged to collaborate. There was no training and tools were not provided to do the job effectively. A manager once bragged that in any other organization he would have been fired by now. A directory bragged she never had professional mentoring (and boy did it show). If you value your career, don't work here.
