Pros
UpRight Law is what I would call a socially responsible company. Yes, management cares about running a profitable and growing company. But, as an employee, I truly get the feeling that they care about their employees, their clients and their community just as much. They organize volunteer opportunities or participate as a group at charitable events on a regular basis. And, not just the day-to-day employees. Management is active in these causes as well. They lead by example. The company puts together office events, decorates the offices, provides a free pantry, just announced a program to pay part of employees' student loan payments, hosts social events, and genuinely appeals to me as a millennial who cares both about my compensation and working in an environment that has a positive culture. As to clients, they come first. At company meetings, we share stories about the people we serve and the way we are changing their lives. I think I get the greatest enjoyment out of being able to speak with people every day who are in distressed circumstances and get to make a real difference in their lives. Overall, UpRight Law is a great organization and I am proud to be a part of it.
Cons
Things change quickly. For me, it's not a con because I think it keeps things interesting, but for someone who wants to "settle in" and do the same thing every day, this might not be the right position for you.
