Pros
Management has an open-door policy and listens to suggestions and feedback. Hiring managers are more concerned about fit within the role and organization which encourages diversity in the company. Team members are personable and easy to get along with. The hybrid office / WFH arrangement is excellent considering there are many companies that are going back to full-time in office. I appreciate that I can work from home the majority of the days during the week. I also appreciate having office space in a fantastic downtown location close to restaurants and transit. The work can be challenging and there are plenty of opportunities to learn and grow. Management regularly acknowledges a job well done.
Cons
Any con I can think of is offset by the fact that this is a small company. Could the benefits be better? Of course, but small companies don't have the advantage of leverage. Could the work be done from home every day? Sure - but then the teams wouldn't be as strong. Being in the office a couple days a week allows for better interactions and growth within the organization. There are times when we are short-handed given the volume of work which makes that work/life balance tricky. Again - that's due to company size. Fortunately, everyone is willing to pitch in where possible even in areas they have little or no experience in.
