Focused on Profits Over People, Leading to a Toxic Work Culture
Pros
Skill development was encouraged. Team of people was fun and bonded closely. Company computer and phone were of good quality. Software was current, and new technologies adopted as necessary.
Cons
Management was essentaily a one man operation, with all decisions centralized under the owner, leaving very little room for collaboration or diverse perspectives. Management frequently preached about the company’s core values—such as integrity, collaboration, and employee well-being—but failed to consistently embody these principles in practice. Despite the emphasis on creating a supportive and respectful work environment, decisions were often made that prioritized profit and personal interests over the well-being of the team. This inconsistency, along with rigorous project schedules, tight timelines, and lack of compensation created a sense of disillusionment and frustration amongst employees. The values touted by leadership do not align with the day-to-day reality of the workplace.
