Pros
Flexible work schedule in some departments (depends on your boss). Management has trust in their employees. I didn’t feel micromanaged at all, but that was due to the trust from my boss. Good work/life balance. Employees are respectful to each other. I had creative freedom to experiment on design projects. They offer education/tuition reimbursement and opportunities to learn and grow within your career. They offer many employee resource groups and freedom to start one that you believe in.
Cons
Poor leadership and company structure. They think they’re being transparent with their employees but they’re not. The previous management completely fell apart which left the rest of the employees very confused. The new management, doesn’t answer questions and gives round about answers without ever answering the question. No bonuses, raises are minimal 3-5% average, 10% max increase. The ESOP stock gets paid out over many years after you leave. The severance package and lack of appreciation I received was a disappointment after being let go. The technology is extremely old school. It takes longer than needed to get an annual review scheduled and the pay you deserve. Everything in general takes forever to get approved. There isn’t room to grow within the company since departments are small and they’re strict on title changes. They want to improve DEI initiatives but the way they go about it is lazy and it hasn’t improved. The company is still mostly run by old white men.
