Pros

You’ll get fed when they feel like it.

Cons

Not a real hospital. All about publicity. It’s literally a CULT there is no culture. This hospital is not for the patients at all. It’s all about the money and fakeness. Doctors get commission so everything comes in. Everything...... and it literally wastes time when you actually have REAL EMERGENCIES! but it would be different if they weren’t and it’s not about patient care. Patient care is the worst here. Patients suffer because lack of experience pretty much bc of the whole staff. Some doctors have no idea what to do sometimes and it’s frustrating because it’s emergency and again, patients suffer. Doctors are way too new to be doing lots of things here. Like surgery. I feel bad for some patients that these doctors cut. It’s horrible and should be considered unethical because these doctors shouldn’t be cutting alone and the other doctors that they look up to have no experience either so it’s the blind leading the blind. Techs and assistants have no idea what they are doing either and are taught the veg way and some have never even worked in animal hospitals either.. Its the veg way or no way. It’s all about putting money in the pockets of veg. But seriously go to a specialty hospital where you have experienced doctors. You are better off cause that’s where I am and I’m never looking back at VEG. I wouldn’t even bring my own animal there..

Hi there - thank you for taking the time to give your honest opinion about our company. It is very unfortunate that you didn't have a good employee experience during your time at VEG. Now in order to clarify some of the points you made, we can attest that all of our recent graduate doctors as well as those coming from a field outside of emergency have to go through a 6 month intense training before they perform a solo shift in one of our locations, those being our Early Entry Track and our Emergency Fellowship programs. During these programs we provide extensive resources and training opportunities, and they will only perform a surgery or any other procedures by themselves when and if they absolutely feel comfortable with it. Also, all of our doctors, technicians and assistants have unlimited continuing education in order to always stay up to date in the latest techniques in performing better medicine. We pride ourselves in being one of the only group of veterinary hospitals that have invested in having a complete Education department and hired top people in the industry like Dr. Garret Pachtinger and Ken Yagi. Also, VEG's mission is to help people and their pets when they need it most. We aim to provide third level customer service and patient care, which is reflected in the the multiple google reviews each one of our hospitals have. We are sorry you didn't feel that way, but we also understand that VEG might not be a good fit for everyone. We wish you the best in your future opportunities!

Pros

Clients get to stay with their pets-this is so beneficial for helping the patients feel reassured and comforted during their stay.

Cons

The work ethic of the support staff is deplorable. There is chronic laziness throughout the staff (except for a few staff members who consistently work hard). VEG is known for hiring really young DVMs, and although they complete the 1 yr NERD program, many come out unprepared, are practicing medicine without continued mentorship, make grave medical errors, misdiagnose, and are incompetent surgeons.
