Pros

temperature controlled building 6am - 3pm workday

Cons

Very toxic environment CEO is abusive toward anyone under him. Yells and calls names when things don't go his way. Company fires employees without any reasons why they are being fired. Employees are not given any prior warnings or improvement goals before being fired. Employees are blamed for mistakes made by the engineers and supervisors. No recognition from upper management. No benefits, not even PTO

Pros

- Vanderhall is unique among companies in Utah. It builds interesting vehicles. - As a higher member of management, I found pay to be initially very fair, recent inflation and struggles are into that. - Vanderhall is not looking to tell you how to vote, or which social causes you should feel passionately about, a rarity in corporate America.

Cons

- The cool products suggest that there should be an atmosphere of fun. I doubt you’ll find a former or current employee who will use that f-word to describe the company. More than likely they’ll say they got tired of dealing with CEO/founder. - The pay was great to start off, but benefits were non-existent. Nothing. - In part because they run a super lean start—but not entirely—the company has a strong “what-can-we get-away-with culture” that will probably become a problem. - At best the CEO is a Maverick who is generally disagreeable and full of unearned confidence (particularly in his business administration skills).
