Thank you for your feedback; we appreciate your insights. We're glad to hear you found our team supportive, enjoyed the network of finance professionals, appreciated remote work flexibility, and valued our competitive pay. We are also happy to hear that you believe we have a talented team. We are proud of the incredible group of people who choose to work at Vareto, and we strive to recognize and empower them every day. We recognize that there’s always room to grow when it comes to culture. Here are a few actions we’re taking to provide teammates with a stable, supportive, and empowering environment despite the high-frequency changes typical of a startup environment: (1) clear performance expectations during the hiring process and after joining Vareto, (2) additional leadership training for people managers on giving frequent feedback and better support their team, (3) special handling for cases where a teammate is assigned to a new manager to ensure that there is continuity of role expectations, feedback, and support. In addition, our People Team provides ongoing resources (including an open-door policy and an anonymous feedback tool) to all team members, to provide support and encourage open communication. We welcome feedback, ideas, and suggestions at all times. Looking ahead, we’ll continue to prioritize making Vareto’s employees feel supported and empowered to do their best work. If you have any specific suggestions or recommendations, we’d love to hear from you. Please reach out to me directly at sasha@vareto.com. Kindly, Sasha Martin, Head of People

Pros

Amazing co workers, founders are truly dynamic and inspiring individuals, not to mention they are also immensely empathetic, and exihbit high EQ which is rare in tech these days. - Awesome challenges and problems to solve, the FPA and space is truly ripe for disruption. Disruption is not easy, there are challenges, and interesting problems to solve. - Management is very transparent about runway, wages etc.

Cons

It is an early stage startup. Startups can be choatic, with people leaving etc, although Kat/Lalit are incredible founders, I have great faith in them.

Pros

Vareto is the most transparent company I have ever worked for and leadership takes people and culture very seriously. The founders are very open to receiving feedback and are proactive about sharing information with the rest of the company on topics like board meetings and fundraising. The senior leadership team is made up of ambitious and strong operators with diverse backgrounds. There are very few big egos both in senior leadership and the company as a whole. From an individual perspective, there are lots of growth opportunities at Vareto for proactive individuals who are able to embrace the company's remote-first culture and enjoy engaging in synchronous and asynchronous discussions across a variety of tools and mediums. People who succeed at Vareto and whom I most enjoy working with are "audacious and humble", meaning they are always striving to do better and are honest with themselves when they fall short of their goals.

Cons

Vareto is a young and hungry startup and its also a proudly remote-first company. This combination is not for everyone and it requires a balance between a willingness to engage in work conversations after local working hours as well as enough confidence to set healthy personal boundaries.
