Pros

....the office sometimes plays good music and there is typically coffee. Provided leads and office materials.

Cons

Poor management No work-life balance Absurd hours No time off Inconsistent pay Poor training Driving miles Consistent no-shows Lukewarm calling Does not care about employees Poor office culture Minimal care for customers Profit over people If you like feeling like a jerk when you go into someone’s home to “deliver” a will or child safe kit and selling them life insurance instead, this is the company for you. If you don’t mind not sleeping, working inconsistent hours, and not being able to spend time with family and friends without judgement or repercussion, this might actually be a great job for you. If you don’t mind calling provided leads that are lukewarm at best and using a verbatim script to book appointments and sell life insurance, this will be a fantastic job for you. For me, not so much as I actually care about myself and others. This seems to be the case for pretty much everyone as there is a HUGE amount of turnover.

Pros

Good way to learn the basics.

Cons

Churn and burn recruitment style. They will say you should be grateful to even be in the company and use the “free leads and coaching” as a way to control you. If you don't do exactly what they want you to do (12 hour days and Saturday's are “expected”) then they will guilt trip you about not being appreciative of the “free” resources. Lets be real, you pay for those resources by getting such a low commission percentage and not owning your book of business. You will really only see 30% of your sale, everything else they take pays for your resources. Don’t let them manipulate you. Save up and go to brokerage world if you’re smart.
