Pros

1)Coffee, tea, water,a place to workout. Somewhat decent view of Buckhead depending on where you sit 2)Chili cook-offs 3) "fun" and "collaboration"! 4)Some truly great people who really care (unfortunately not the ones who are in charge, but they are really doing the best they can) 5)As long as you give off the perception of doing work (as in staring at the computer but not actually doing anything) you can probably count on at least 4 months of a solid income for sitting on your butt. 6) Flexible hours...depending on the person.

Cons

1) #1 rule of selling: KNOW THE PRODUCT! If you're ok with not being 100% as in, at maximum, 10% studied on what the "service" is to sell, then this is the gig for you. 2) "Confidentiality agreements". Because of these supposed contracts BDRs are expected to be "experts" on goings on in the IoT, connected living, omni-channel etc. Which is cool... it never hurts to know what the trends are but how far can you really go if there are no Venadar related work examples to reference? Do they exist? No idea in favor or against. They keep you in the dark on purpose, which makes you wonder... 3)... What is this innovative "scouting process" and why does it cost so much? Oh, we have scouts in 65 different coun- LINKEDIN AND GOOGLE. THAT IS ALL. THATS REALLY ALL IT IS FOLKS basically, if you're even remotely versed in how to run a google search or find people on Linkedin, there is no reason to use this service. 4) Lack of clear metrics goals and expectations. Here's a word problem for you all: For q1 the expectation based on previous quarters is that the goal is X. Suddenly, after the quarter is over reps are told the goal has moved to Y. Due to the previous expectation of a bonus given for achieving X, reps become disillusioned....But all is not lost! Rep A and B are hired and rep B attains 3/4y after 3 months. Rep A attains a constant 0 after 3 months. Who gets fired? Rep B gets fired while rep A who has achieved 0y on all counts gets to stay. Why? Because Rep B "looks" like he or she is working and deserves to stay. So, this was a trick problem, this is not a math problem this is a problem in the opposite of logic which is how Venadar works. Insanity yall. 5) Secretive environment. #4 wouldn't be so bad if we didn't know that certain people received bonuses after not attaining the afforementioned quota. (since clearly metrics mean nothing) 6) Metrics mean nothing. This becomes clear once rep B is fired there is no more mention of metrics. Not. A. Single. Mention. 7) Boring as hell. Repetetive meetings. Too many meetings all for the perception of looking "busy". 8) Weird vibe from upper management. Seem super afraid to talk to employees. Wonder why. 9) Maybe #8 has something to do with subleasing part of the office to a colleague starting his own separate and somehow not at all related business? 10) Even when you do good work, it goes virtually unrecognized. 11) Oh yea, totally forgot, no insurance, no 401k, not even basic benefits. All in all don't do it. If you're entry level and have been told "fake it till you make it" in sales, (typically sound advice to people who have no experience as long as you're actually trying), this is not the place for you because there is no substance to the service to help you with your pitch.

Thank you for your review. The ongoing feedback that we receive from our current and former employees continues to provide insights to what's working and what needs refining. Our Entrepreneurial Discovery Process utilizes a proprietary methodology that utilizes a network of trained ethnographic researchers. Yes, we do often start our process with Google, just like people used to start their research with the library, but it is simply a starting point for our multi-disciplined process.

Pros

Classic market/product research house. Researchers who can research digest and write up (visually communicate data points) and key attributes over a weekend will love this job.

Cons

Work ebbs and flows…not consistent. Too much or not enough at times.
