Pros

Nice Building. There are some talented employees here.

Cons

This company is certainly shady in its employee treatment. It appears that they had their R&D team write positive reviews on this site to offset any negative criticism. This resembles the handy work of the CTO. I would take a majority of these reviews with a grain of salt. Also the location for this company is Indian Land, SC and not Charlotte, NC. This was done to save on paying taxes yet trying to get quality employees at the same time. Good luck with these people.

Pros

Not work 'for', but 'in'. Verian allows their employees to develop, grow, succeed, fail, and learn from their experiences. Basware acquired Verian 1 month ago, and the company is expanding it's footprint in the market space continuing the culture and mission. If you cannot find a place at Basware/Verian to succeed, then you should not work for any technology firm. The people are from many backgrounds, and fantastic to work and socialize with. I've been at Verian over 5 years serving in many roles. If you 'want' to have a career, Basware/Verian is a great place to be.

Cons

Commute to the office increased by 5 minutes this year due to new construction in Fort Mill.

Pros

The term "culture" comes up a lot if you ask employees why they like Verian. After over six months with the team, I agree. Fellow employees are intelligent and motivated, but not too serious. There's a lot of teamwork across departments, and all of these things combined makes it easy to be successful. The company makes an effort to encourage that teamwork with small social events, and it works well. Flexibility in job responsibilities. If you start in one part of the organization, it's actually pretty easy to move to another one if you become interested. No less than five people have moved laterally into a new role in a different department during my experience. For a company this size, that's pretty substantial.

Cons

There aren't really any glaring issues. The company is growing quickly, so if you aren't looking for a challenging role, it might turn into an issue. Those challenges may sometimes be administrative process changes, and that may be a problem for some.
