Pros
I'm a software engineer. I've worked for a lot of companies. This is a good place to work. A lot of the engineering staff has been at the company for more than 3 or 4 years. Some as long as 10 years (the company is 12 years old as of this writing). People like it here. It's not a startup, but rather a more stable company. Culture: It's a software company. There's good support for professional development, there are good perks. We get to work from home on Fridays. There's a year-end bonus that you will most likely get because the goals that are set for you are reasonable. It's also basically a 9-5 job. If you work here, you can also have a life. Technology: The tech stack is modernizing as we try to keep up with the growth of the company. Right now we're moving to Spring 5, Java 8, and reactive programming. We use MySQL, and all of the front end code is being ported to Angular 4. We are transitioning away from Chef to Docker. We are solving all of the interesting problems with regards to a company that is growing: how to scale, how best to produce quality software at a regular cadence, etc. Company: There's a lot to like. The company is uniquely situated and offers an essential service to banks and businesses. It's hard to explain and they don't expect you to know what they do when you apply. Overall, this is an easy place to work.
