Attachment to traditional ways of business neglects to offer employees flexibility which could compensate for below average salaries. Scarcity mentality creates toxic environment. No room for advancement. Limited mentorship. Reporting relationships and rationale for performance evaluations are opaque.

High caliber group far outperforms expectations for a symphony of this size. Concerts are well-produced and the product quality is above average.

Incredibly poor administrative management. Low morale, long hours, required overtime without pay, toxic work culture, entitled patrons and board members. Minimal benefits and stagnant salaries, even when compared to other non-profits.
