We want to thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that, during your time at Visit California, your overall experience did not match our goal of being one of the best places that you've worked. As an organization, we are committed to being a collaborative and contented environment for everyone, so we are disappointed to hear about some of your experiences. Your description of the staff was disheartening, and we are very sorry you felt you were treated unfairly. Those are not characteristics we've heard before, most feedback we have received has stated that the staff has been collaborative, encouraging and hard-working. We take employee development very seriously, with many hours invested into each employee's on-boarding and training. Although it occurs infrequently, the decision to release someone from the organization is not take lightly, and we do not release someone from the organization based upon their social status within the office. If someone has areas for improvement, steps are taken to allow them the time, opportunity and resources needed to make those necessary improvements. I can speak to this as I am personally involved with every staff disciplinary action. We appreciate your advice to our management staff. We not only will continue to hire the most qualified people, but it is also very important that they understand and believe in the culture of the organization; to fully cooperate with and act with the utmost professional demeanor with all employees, the membership we serve and the public in general.
