Pros
Vista Maria has been in the business of caring for families since 1883, doing the hard work and heart work of supporting youth that are in peril. In the process, its mission of demonstrating mercy and compassion, individual worth, reconciliation and zeal have the potential to continue to do great things for the community. I have never held another position where I felt more like a family member entrusted with the care of those around me. I have also never held another position where I fully intended to retire from.
Cons
Having to switch gears for its primary programming presents challenges for any agency, and Vista has taken it all in stride.
