The flexible PTO policy is a major perk, and being part of a small startup allows you to get to know everyone across the board, fostering great collaboration.

The frequent layoffs can really sting, especially when seemingly random decisions are made, like letting go of experienced mentors who are invaluable for junior folks like myself. It's tough to have that guidance ripped away unexpectedly. The organizational shifts also tend to create some chaos, like getting shuffled to a new team without proper onboarding or context. To their credit, the company does listen to feedback and course-corrects, but those transitional periods can get messy with longer hours and increased workloads.
