Pros

Depending on what team you get hired into, you might work with some decent people.

Cons

Transparency is a significant concern, as it is virtually absent despite being promoted as a core organizational value. Leadership lacks clarity and tends to be overly controlling. The CEO constantly demonstrates egotistical and insecure tendencies, showing little to no openness to constructive criticism. This may help explain the high turnover at the senior management and director levels over the years, with many either resigning or being dismissed. Employees who possess substantial knowledge and experience are often perceived as threats rather than assets. There have also been instances of leadership encouraging employees to submit fake positive reviews on the platform, which raises ethical concerns. Decision-making appears to be concentrated among a select few individuals, often reflecting personal preferences rather than inclusive, team-based input. Compensation is generally below market standards, despite consistent growth in company revenue. Additionally, individuals without relevant medical expertise are, at times, placed in managerial roles over highly experienced medical professionals, with indications that such decisions may be influenced by country of residence (US vs. Croatia) - suggesting potential discrimination that remains unacknowledged. The company is also going backwards in terms of availability of remote work, although there are plenty of employees that have the luxury of being fully remote because of their location. Career progression lacks transparency and fairness; some employees are promoted rapidly, while others see little to no advancement, irrespective of their performance or contributions. There is a strong emphasis on a “stay in your lane” mentality, which directly contradicts the organization’s stated commitment to learning and fostering a growth mindset. The workplace culture is further undermined by the presence of toxic behaviors, where certain individuals advance at the expense of their colleagues. Education team, in particular, appears undervalued compared to other departments, despite playing a critical role in generating company revenue. Management practices frequently involve micromanagement, gaslighting, and behavior that can be demoralizing to employees. Open dialogue and constructive feedback toward leadership are not genuinely encouraged; rather, they are often met with disapproval, contributing to a culture of superficial positivity. As a result, many employees choose to leave early in their tenure, disillusioned by the disparity between the organization’s promises and the reality of its internal practices.

Pros

- Mission driven company that makes real world impact - Opportunity to be apart of change. The business is growing so process needs to be updated from time to time. - Staff is smart and committed - Hybrid work culture

Cons

- Fast growth can feel uncomfortable - Going into the office on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays - Transparency seems to be getting less and less (this is an evolution of a growing business though)

Pros

- Flexibility with the hybrid model - Unlimited PTO - Nice offices with stocked fridges and snacks - Great coworkers - Huge emphasis on team collaboration - Good benefits and starting pay

Cons

- Chaotic CEO - Micro-management - No opportunity for advancement and no path to get to the next level. Management doesn't appreciate having these conversations either. - Team collaboration is great, but there are too many cooks in the kitchen. - Processes change constantly and communication of these changes is terrible. Our roles and responsibilities change many times throughout the year
