Pros
Pay is competitive for the area, solid heath insurance, lots of good guys at the operator & supervisor level, lots of OT available (made more money in OT than base pay for the year)
Cons
Rotating 12 hr shift work, lots of OT mandated, work is often hard labor, will be expected to cover down for absent subordinate positions you were not trained for or hired to do without any pay differential, toxic management, and even more toxic fumes, waste, and lime slurry abound to shave off some extra years off your life.
