Pros

Does occasional free stuff count?

Cons

Saw many assistants crying on a daily basis. People would quit within days of starting. Expected to work extremely long hours with no OT or appreciation. Management doesn’t care or check in on workload or help develop assistants. They were generally dismissive and snotty. Would absolutely not recommend working here.

Pros

The small size of the company allows for a range of opportunities that might not be available at a larger firm. Entry-level employees are able to interact closely with clients and really learn and internalize the day-to-day business of talent PR. Assistants are given the opportunity to attend lots of premieres, photo shoots, and other press events.

Cons

The treatment of entry-level employees is absolutely abhorrent. There is little to no training provided for new employees, yet questions are heavily discouraged and even tiny, inconsequential errors result in very public verbal attacks. Upper management is not invested in entry-level assistants’ growth within the company in the slightest. The work environment is hostile, toxic, and extremely competitive. Even employees who work on the same account are catty and gossipy rather than collaborative. No wonder there is such a high turnover rate.
