Pros

They pay for your health insurance. Salaries are decent if you're chummy with the management. Nice looking modern chairs. The bare white walls inspire a calming insane asylum feel, which nicely complements the work atmosphere.

Cons

Where to start? It's, for a lack of a better term, a boy's club. You go far in the company, not through merit, but how well you can rub elbows with the management. The owners are too involved in the day-to-day, which overlaps into the company culture. This can either be a very positive thing, if you're on their good side; or a very negative thing, if you're on their bad side. More than several times, I've seen them fire people just because they were mad at them; regardless of the employees contribution to the growth of the company. The threat of being fired is constantly flaunted in your face, which makes it rather unpleasant. If you've read the other reviews, the coffee thing is very real. I've witnessed several "episodes" where the owner aggressively berated employees for not using the "right amount" of coffee grounds. To the point of tears, in some cases. This verbal flogging was also a part of meetings sometimes, making it really awkward for the ones being talked down to. They're really strict with the start times, but expect you to work all hours of the night on projects. They're also really strict with lunch times, kind of like elementary school. There's a strict no cell phone policy, which is weird for a company that touts itself as a "leading edge digital agency". If you're caught with your cell phone on, you will get reprimanded and threatened. Oddly enough the owners and some management have their cell phones on, go figure. You're not allowed to telecommute either, also weird. If you work in the creative or tech department, you're expected to log your hours everyday; and have every minute accounted for. Some employees in the other departments have to log their time too. If you're under hours, pray. Overall, it's a very old-school business mentality that doesn't believe in investing in it's employees or helping them grow in their careers. I wouldn't be surprised if the positive reviews were current employees being coerced into writing them. If you're the kind of person that can schmooze your way up the corporate ladder, this is your kind of place. If you're the kind of person that believes your work and work ethic speaks for itself, steer clear and be wary.

Pros

I've been working here for more than 3 years already and hopefully i'll stay many many years more... the culture is awesome; they make you feel part of a big family. The company cares about your career, therefore they give you all the support and training needed for you to grow. The company pays in full for healthcare and they also give you a credit card to pay for your deductibles (so basically you don’t pay anything for doctors or prescriptions). A LOT OF DAYS OFF… The regular 15 days off plus holidays including the day after Thanksgiving, the day after Christmas, the day after New Year’s Eve and also an extra day off per year that you work there (3 more for me). On top of that, they give you 3 days off in the Summer, not counting when the owner let the company go home early for no reason or even better, take the whole company to the movies, bowling or cirque du soleil all paid… yup, all paid. Talking about money, I have been getting compensation increases on my yearly reviews, I already got a promotion as well. (Every paycheck on time, not even a day late…Love it!

Cons

They're very strict with the time that you get to work (9:01 is consider late). At the beginning I had some trouble getting used to it, but now I'm ok with it. You cannot use your cellphone here, but they give you a lan line that you can use without any questions asked. Don't have much to say here since I'm happy at this place.

Thank you for your feedback. Being on time is considered an aspect of professionalism, whether on-time delivery of assets, arriving at a meeting at the designated time, or arriving at work at the time expected. We are glad that you adjusted to that aspect. And while cell phone use was restricted previously, as you pointed out, landlines were always available so that employees could speak with their loved ones and stay connected. You'll be happy to hear that policies evolve over time and the cell phone policy was one of those. thanks again for taking the time to share.
