Pros

Literally nothing. The whole experience work this company was horrible, both from personal experience and watching others.

Cons

Honestly, it took me almost a year to write this review because of the lack of energy. I was offered a salary position with this company, and completely promised the world. A few days into the position, the manager and owner, Nicole completely rescinded that offer, instead saying that we would do a month trial and assigned a completely ridiculous sales goal for online sales (10,000 in the month of January, when December’s Christmas sales barely hit that total, and there was currently no shipping infrastructure to even fulfill those orders). Nicole is manipulative. I saw sales staff quit on the spot, and I saw sales staff make clothing purchases for themselves on shift, just to make the sales goal for the day. It was horrible to watch. There were all levels of shadiness with this company, including seamstresses being directed reattach different size labels to garments in order to still make a sale (I’m talking reattaching a medium label to a large sized garment and lying to the customer.) Upon the first paycheque, she claimed that I was a “casual labourer” and didn’t deduct any taxes. Despite working 16 hour days thinking that this was a salary role, she completely turned around and skirted labour laws and CRA obligations. Do. Not. Work. For. This. Company. This woman will use you until you dry up. Take a look at the positive reviews -these people are the ones that have been manipulated into providing a good review.

Pros

Workhall has a good work environment with many benefits to working in such a space. It is a great way to meet interesting people and to start your career in the fashion industry. Overall a beautiful company with strong values, I would recommend as long as you are willing to work hard.

Cons

It can be really challenging at times with the nature of being on the floor, as in it is physically tiring and can at times becomes repetitive.
