Pros
Knowing that no one here fixes blame when things don't go as well as expected makes working here a pleasure. Our motivation comes from desire to improve the company and contribute something positive; there is no fear of reprisal, no need to CYA to defend against accusations. It is a most refreshing and rare experience! I have never before worked with such a cohesive team of individuals banded together to pursue the same cause! In addition, it's a company with strong values and a product its employees can be proud of, and it treats its employees as humans rather than human resources. What more could one ask for?
Cons
The company is pursuing a growth strategy that keeps us all very busy; the strategy is sound and management is savvy, but we hit occasional work crunches. While proposal managers/writers expect periods of heavy overtime, this company tries to provide a work/life balance by lightening the load immediately after completion of a proposal to prevent burnout.
