Pros

A lot of flexibility in terms of remote work pr just once a week in the office Easy to be hired for “we do” projects, even without knowledge of excel or basic computer skills. Good place to work while you get a real good opportunity

Cons

One of the main challenges was the limited career growth and compensation progression. Opportunities for advancement felt quite restricted, and salary increases were often not aligned with the level of responsibility or workload expected from employees. In my case, I was offered a lateral move into a more demanding finance role supporting the UK team, despite already having more than 5 years of previous experience in that area. Unfortunately, the role did not come with an immediate salary adjustment, and compensation discussions were postponed with uncertain timelines. Another point worth mentioning is that retention efforts only seemed to become active after I had already accepted another external opportunity, which created the impression that employee value was not fully recognized proactively. I believe the company could improve in: * creating clearer growth opportunities, * aligning compensation more fairly with responsibilities and experience, * and being more proactive in recognizing and retaining internal talent.

Cons

Risk averse so it’s slower to invest; penny wise but often pound foolish

Pros

- Work is challenging - Benchmarking and survey data provides value - Can build a large network across employers, vendors and carriers

Cons

- "Merit" or annual pay increases are often less than annual Federal cost of living adjustments to address inflation. I have earned less every year I remain at WTW. - If promoted, raise is combined with "merit" and dilutes both amounts. I've never heard of one person being satisfied with merit + promotion salary increase. If anything, this is the final trigger to seek employment elsewhere. - High billable rates paired with higher execution/client satisfaction expectations yet overall pay/comp don't reflect it. Internal systems and process distract from productivity and impact. - Limited to no investment in training and development outside of internal webinars - Always hear "our people are the difference" yet it doesn't feel like that when it comes to total comp, professional development, and systems/tools that make sense - After 7 years, burnout is high amongst colleagues and I personally can't imagine many more anniversaries. Many high-performing, valued colleagues have left in last 12 months
